Our expeditious completion of quality construction drawings and plats for a multitude of projects has earned CVL multiple assignments from several of our premier clients. Our understanding of the connectivity of the overlot grading process, infrastructure phasing, utility service, driveway orientations, driveway slopes, garage steps, and product fit analyses is imperative to our clients’ success in delivering homes on time to their marketing divisions. Pradera
Douglas County, Colorado

CVL provided engineering design for approximately 752 single family lots in this prestigious golf course community. CVL also provided civil design services for the community center and clubhouse facility. The site drainage in and around the proposed 18-hole golf course was designed in a way to enhance the aesthetics of the landscape and grading characteristics of the affected holes. Work included collector road design and design of the Scott Gulch Regional Detention Pond, which will serve a watershed on excess of 1,000 acres. The Scott Gulch Channel is located within the golf course.

Traditions
Aurora, Colorado

CVL conducted engineering in support of the framework development plan process, unique to Aurora, on this 320-acre, 1,000-unit master planned community. CVL designed extensions of city utilities for over 1/2 mile, and major drainageway improvements in accordance with the Urban Drainage & Flood Control District Outfall Systems Plans. 1 1/2 miles of regional arterial roadway design and 1/2 mile of collector road design were completed. Infrastructure for a recreational center and parks were detailed. A school site was included in this community design.

Wild Pointe
Elbert County, Colorado

The services required for this 1,131-acre residential and commercial subdivision, included re-zoning, preliminary and final platting, and infrastructure design. 181 residential sites of five acres, were designed with individual sewage treatment, and were provided water service through a master district with central wells. Miles of interior local and collector streets were designed. CVL also designed acceleration, deceleration and turn lanes in two locations to serve the project. A pavement widening for approximately 1/2 mile Highway 86 widening of improvements to arterial highway through Colorado Department of Transportation.

Sand Creek Ranch
Aurora, Colorado
Provided contextual site plan, final plat and construction drawing design for this 480-acre, 1,370-unit mixed-use community at Alameda Avenue and Powhaton Road. The project includes a 20-acre commercial parcel and significant storm water channel and detention pond facilities. Design services were provided for all water distribution and sanitary sewer infrastructure. The project includes one mile of regional arterial roadway design. The project will include parks, open space and a school site. |

Sierra Ridge
Douglas County, Colorado
This 313-acre mixed-use master planned community is comprised of 945 single family lots along with additional tracts designated for multifamily residences, a park site, and a school site. The project traverses several major drainageways south of Lincoln Avenue in Douglas County.
Challenges met by CVL on this upscale development included design of 3.5 miles of off-site sanitary sewer main, both gravity and force main, and design and coordination for extensions of the water distribution system infrastructure loop for the requisite water and sanitation district. Construction documents were coordinated with Douglas County in conjunction with their design and construction of adjacent portions of Chambers Road. The project included design of a regional stormwater treatment and detention facility within the Grandview Tributary drainageway according to Urban Drainage and Flood Control District standards. CVL has been instrumental in coordinating the efforts of the design team for this project, from its inception, through initial zoning, sketch plan approval, and the platting and final site design phase. |

Whispering Pines
Aurora, Colorado
This beautiful project will be the pride of Aurora upon its completion. Whispering Pines is nestled in 268 acres boasting significant Black Forest pine stands and is situated adjacent to reaches of Sampson Gulch. The natural beauty of the site is the setting for approximately 512 single family homes, a recreation center overlooking the forest, and a school site. The project will accommodate standard, semi custom and custom homes with a variety of streetscapes and street sections to create the feel of exclusive neighborhoods throughout the community. The project design included coordination of several parcels under different ownerships all reliant upon one another for basic infrastructure and a regional stormwater detention facility.

Turnberry
Commerce City, Colorado

This 430-acre project is located east of Hwy. 2 and
adjacent to 104th Avenue. CVL prepared
approximately ten miles of residential roadways and
arterial design including Hwy. 2 intersection
improvements with 104th Avenue and approximately
1 1/4 miles of regional arterial roadway design for
104th Avenue. The project included design of a
commercial center, relocation of an RTD Park and
Ride facility, and a recreational site. Several single
family parcels were designed. A school site was
accommodated, and future multifamily and
commercial pads were provided for.

Stroh Farm
Johnstown, Colorado

CVL provided management services for preliminary platting of 730 single family lots on 400 acres south of Johnstown. CVL prepared the final plat and construction documents for the project as well. CVL designed 1 1/4 miles of off-site water and sewer systems, and a pavement widening for County Road 17 adjacent to the site.
